Tulipa kolpakowskiana

Native to Central Asia, first recorded in Europe in 1844. Buds are first nodding but when they open the stems are fully upright. 1 to 3 fairly small yellow flowers per stem, each with a pinkish-red blush on the outside. Flowers open fully only when the sun is bright.
