Oxalis

("Woodsorrels / False shamrock")

Origins:

Oxalis is an enormous genus with the majority of the species (there are more than 800) coming from South Africa and South America (particularly the tropical areas of Brazil and Mexico).

Planting Tips:

Some species of this genus are Winter hardy and should be planted in Fall while others are susceptible to frost damage so they should be planted in Spring. All of them make beautiful potted plants.
