Tigridia

("Tiger flower / Mexican shell flower")

Origins:

Mexico and Guatamala. The Aztecs called it 'Jaguar flower'.

Planting Tips:

Plant in Spring, when the weather has warmed up, in a sheltered but sunny spot (light shade in hot climates) and in soil that drains fast. Provide adequate moisture while growing. Leave them in the ground in warmer Southern climates where they will multiply rapidly provided they do not get too much water during the Winter.
