Triteleia

("Triplet lily / Fool's onion")

Origins:

Native to Western North America, from British Columbia southwards all the way to Guatemala, but they are most common in California.

Planting Tips:

Requires well-drained soil but is otherwise undemanding. Wonderful weavers for mixing with foliage plants like Lady's Mantle, perennial geraniums and short ornamental grasses. Not especially Winter hardy and requires a layer of mulch in colder regions. They are usually available in both Spring (plant in colder climates) and in Fall (plant in moderate climates).
