Tritonia Crocata

("Blazing star")

Origins:

South Africa.

Planting Tips:

Tritonias thrive where the sun is warm and the ground does not become overly wet. Excellent for those neglected drier spots in your garden. Plant in late Spring in larger groups of at least 10-15 bulbs to create the best effect. They need ordinary, reasonable fertile garden soil that drains well. Note: they will thrive in very mild climates where you can leave them in the ground but you will notice that they will revert to their normal Winter growth cycle and will bloom in early Spring in the following years.
